This natural sea salt comes from salt beds in south central Utah. It is not bleached, kiln-dried, heated, or altered with chemicals or additives. The color tells you that it truly is salt in its natural form; you can see the trace minerals present. And, unlike some other sea salts on the market, RealSalt does contain the iodine that is necessary for our diet.

The advantage of instant yeast is that it can be added directly to your dry ingredients, and does not need to be dissolved first in liquid like active dry yeast. You can also skip the initial rise period of bread-making; thus, your dough can go straight into bread pans to rise after mixing and kneading. Refrigerate after opening.

1 # bag - $6.45

If you use a high quality hard wheat for bread-making, adding gluten is not necessary because there will be enough gluten present naturally in the wheat before milling. If you are making a yeast recipe that contains a lot of fruit, seeds, or nuts, or grains not naturally high in gluten, you may need to add a few teaspoons of powdered gluten to get the proper rise from your dough.

1 # can - $5.75
