This recipe was given to me by my sweet neighbor Beverly.  She is a dog-lover, and guaranteed me that my Labrador would love these treats.  Sure enough, my Lab sits and salivates while I am rolling out the dough.  Of course, she does the same thing when we are in the kitchen anyway!  Try these; they are fun to make.

2 cups freshly milled wheat flour (any type)
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup applesauce
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup water

Combine all ingredients and knead into a soft dough.  Roll dough out until 1/4 inch thick.  Cut with dog bone-shaped cookie cutter (available at Michaels).  Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  Let cookies cool completely before giving to Bowser!
